Patterson is a bog-standard English patronymic: Patrick's son. A gazillion totally-unrelated families bear this name around the world, some of them of Scottish origin, some of them not.And it's nearly certain that you don't _have_ a "crest". Any website or company that tells you otherwise is fraudulently trying to sell you something.
