I asked awhile ago about Corra/Corea/etc, and the reply was helpful, but I'm asking now because I did some research and found out that this is the correct spelling. The name is Coiro, and the family is from Potenza in Southern Italy. Any help?

Italian: metonymic occupational name for a tanner or leatherworker, from old Italian coiro ‘leather’, Sicilian coiru. Compare Corio.

Now in Italy this surname is spread on the area of Potenza and the nearby province of Salerno.
