last name verification?

I submitted a last name, Jagiełło, and I’m just wondering if I have to verify the name myself, or if it’s something other people do? I did read the instructions but I don’t really understand if I have to verify it or not.

Submitted names can only be verified by one of the editors. I've verified that it is Polish, but did not get a chance to look into the listed meaning.
