I am trying to trace the origin of an ancestor's surname of KROSGOE - recent information suggests Flemmish/Dutch anyone have any information?

Late at night ...and late at getting to it ...I would suggest that it is related to the word "Cross" though I'm not sure of the exact flavor ...
