"Caicos" as in the Turks and Caicos islands comes from a Lucayan term "caya hico" meaning "a string of islands". That's the only thing that comes readily to mind!

Difficult to find! To me it sounds as a surname with a possible greek origin like KAIKOS or something like that.

According to the german Gerhard Rohlfs who has studied sicilian surnames this one could come from a sort of a ship called "caicu" in Sicilian and "caico in Italian. This word has a turkish origin.
