Andron?
I've tried to figure out what kind of ethnicity this surname is and its origins. I assume its Greek, but I'm not dead sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

For sure it comes from Greek ... meaning something like "man" ... as all of the Andr, Anth, etc. names mean.

It seems it is found in England, Russia, Hungary and France. And since people usually went from Russia and Hungary to places like England and France is my guess is that it is Eastern European. I'd guess a Slavic version of Anthony.
Many traders immigrated to both England and France from these countries so I wouldn't doubt that they may have established families there.

There is also a frenche variant in the French region of Charente, on the atlantic coast of France.
According to the French site of Jean Tosti this surname could come from the given name "André", "Andrew".
And possibly, I prtesume the eastern european Andron could probably come from greek "Andreas". Could it be possible?
