Re: Dreishpoon Family name

I had a hard time determining from what country it comes. Because of the double vowel in the 2nd syllable and the fact that everyone I found on a google search seemed to be from NY, I thought that maybe it was Dutch.
I did find on one genealogy site: Dreishpoon, 1859 to now, Kiev,RUS>Paris,FRA>NewYorkCity,NY>FL,USA. It doesn't really look like a typical Russian name to me. Perhaps it's of German origins? The first syllable, Dreis-, is three in German, I believe. I found '-poon' to be a type of fish in Dutch. I'm not sure, I'm a bit stumped.
