Googling the name gives us a preponderence of people of this surname with Arabic or Middle Eastern forenames. There are also what I believe are alternative spellings of this name, Oweimrin and Uwaymrin. This last spelling looks particularly Arabic to me.
If I'm right about the language then it's probably a diminutive of some personal name. I would tentatively suggest Umar (Omar) or Imran as possible bases from which this name could develop.
