A little help!
Hey there!

For school I am required to looke up the meaning of my entier name. I have so far managed to get my frist and middle name, but am having trouble finding the meaning for my surename, which is Glover. The only thing I know about my family history is that we use to come from England before they came here as convics. If anyone happens to know what my surename means you will be a life saver.

Thanks heaps.
Cheers.

Is this a wind-up? Glover, a maker of gloves, i.e., an occupational name. Pretty obvious really.

G-LoverA glover obviously used to be a "maker or seller of gloves" (Oxford Dictionary of Surnames). They have a WIlliam de Glouere in 1250.
