Meaning & History

According to Wikipedia Elkington is a deserted medieval village and civil parish in the West Northamptonshire in England. The villages name means "Elta's hill" or perhaps, less likely, "swan hill".

A literal translation of the Saxon would be Elk's people's town or less literally Elk's estate
