Not sure why other commenters are saying the meaning offered here is wrong. Even the link provided shows "mulberry tree" as a meaning of. Considering this name seems to have sprouted as a toponym, I would say it's likelier.
"Moral" actually means "moral" in English. Not mulberry tree. It can be translated as either "Morals" or, possibly, "Son of Moral".http://etimologias.dechile.net/?moral
From the Latin Morales meaning "moral". Likely a Catholic reference, a common practice practice with Spanish surnames.
