Description: At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, he placed second (and thus won the silver medal) at the men's 10,000 metres speed skating competition. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he was the winner of the men's 10,000 metres speed skating competition. He placed third (and thus won the bronze medal) at the men's 10,000 metres speed skating competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
