Thousands of persons in the USA carry this surname.
My own family immigrated from Wittenburg Germany about 1800. Upon entering the US the spelling was misunderstood and the order of letters changed by the immigration agent.
My forebears settled near Wilkesbare, PA and spread to the south and west.
My grandfather homesteaded in Moffat County, Colorado in 1910. His grandfather in PA had several sons.
I do not know whether other Klines in the USA come from different roots.
