[Surname] Meaning of the surname Rodigas?
Hi all!
One of my ancestors had the last name Rodigas, which is a French name for sure, since he came from France to the Netherlands during the Napoleon period. Does anyone know what this surname possibly means?
Thanks a bunch in advance!
Greetings,
Lucille

Hallo Lucille,
As far as I know aren't we coming out of France but out of Poland at the beginning of 1700. According of a book written about de Rodigas-family is the name Rodigas probably out of Litauwe, Hongarya or the Oekraïne. Noboddy knows for sure.
It wil always stays a mysterie.
Greetings
Ingrid
