OK, as I understand it you want name suggestions that sound like Dan and Ting.Dan:
In English Dan (DAN) is a name.
Dan is also a nick name for Daniel (DAN-yul).
Danny (DAN-ee) a nick name for Daniel.
Dane (DAYN) is like Dan but differnt sounding 'a' being "AY" instead of "A" sound.
Dante (DAHN-tay) is Italian but English people know it especially if they are into art and painting.Ting:
Tina
or not so closely: Tiana (tee-AH-nah or tee-AN-ah), Ashling (ASH-ling), Spring (SPRING).They are the closest sounding matches and I think already noted in replies below. For more info on these names search for them on the homepage: www.behindthename.com

Excuse my ignorance, but is your surname Xing or Ting?

my surname is Xing,
Is Chrisell my english name?
vote up1vote down
No, Chrisell is *my* name :-)For an English equivalent of Yan Ting, what about . . .
Iolanthe (I-oh-lan-thee)
Yolanda (yo-LAN-da)
Jane Tina (JAYN TEE-na) or Jane Tiane (JAYN TEE-ahn)
Jan Tina (JAN TEE-na) Jan Tiane (JAN TEE-ahn)
Jasmine (JAZ-min)
Yancy Tina (YAN-see TEE-na) or Yancy Tiane (YAN-see TEE-ahn)
Jantine (YAN-teen)Normally, these names would be hyperlinked so you can read the meanings and origins, but the site isn't working properly today, so they won't be. But if you go to the main page (www.behindthename.com) you can search for the meanings.Anything you like there?

I think she wants one name for herself that has the sounds of her and her boyfriend's first names both in it.
I would suggest Danielle Zhanna, and just forget about the Ting part, because it's hard to find an English name with that sound.
But to be really honest, I would figure out what is the meaning of your Chinese name, and then search for English names with the same meaning as your Chinese name. That, to me, would give you a lovely name that really suits you.
Good luck!

You could take the name Tanya ("TAHN-yah") or Tina ("TEE-nah").

Dan is already an English name - it's a nickname for Daniel (DAN-yel). Your boyfriend can just go by Dan and no-one will think it strange.I gave you some suggestions for Ting - Tina (TEE-na) and Tiane (tee-AHN). You could also use Tiana (tee-AH-na) or Tianna (tee-AN-a)

Dan is actually a formal nameand not just a nn for Daniel. "Dan in the Old Testament was one of the twelve sons of Jacob and the founder of one of the twelve tribes of Israel." (BtN)"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)
