[Opinions] Noble
What do you think of the name Noble? One of my friends was tracing her lineage and learned that her Great-Great Grandfather was named Noble. I've been dwelling on the name all day and was wondering what you all think. Could it be used today or is it too dated?

There's a boy named Noble at my school, and he doesn't seem to have any problems. I think it's usable today for sure. It was never super common, so it's not really dated.

I love virtue names so I definately think this could work. I also think it sounds like the kind of name that, after you meet the person, you wouldn't even think about it. You would forget that "Noble" is also a word.

I know a little Jeremiah whose middle name is Noble. I think it's great! I don't know how it would work as a first name...maybe!

Probably not good in this day and age...

Like!I recently was playing around with it. I don't think I'd use it as a fn since it's too wordy, but it makes a wonderful middle name! Oliver Noble was the best combo I came up with.

I like it :) I probably wouldn't use it, and if I did it would be a mn, but I still think it'f cool.

I knew a Noble. He was a child in my class when I was student teaching and he's eight. So I think it can definitely be used today and I don't find it old-fashioned at all.Unfortunately for me, the Noble in my class was well-known as being the troublemaker of the group and nearly got himself expelled from the (super religious private) school several times since entering it. So I certainly think names like this can backfire on the bearers.

Love it!Really, I've thought about this name a lot (I went to high school with a girl named Nobl; she was Azeri or something), and I like it for either gender.

I like it! If Faith and Grace can be used for girls, why can't Noble be used for boys?

Sounds like a name for a dog to me, but it's a nice male virtue name.

Honestly, I think it's a little silly. I can't help but picture a Noble growing up to be a dishonest or disrespectful person, which I think is a catch-22 with a lot of virtue names.

Adjectives as FNs seem a bit awkward sometimes.Or titles, like Prince or Bishop.
