I'm happy about Robert the Bruce, and Bruce Springsteen, and I'm happy about my nephew having it as a mn. But there my pleasure ends. I've had such bad luck with every Bruce I've met that I'd love to meet a nice one and break my duck. At the moment, though, it's all bad personal associations and a mooing sound.

Love it! My Bruce combo is Matteus Bruce but I like Bruce as a first name as well.

Ugly, dated, harsh. I'm shocked at how it's still within on the charts because it should have honestly left DECADES ago. It's just one of those names that belong permantely in the past.

Strangely too blunt yet too soft at the same time. It's the name equivalent of a pulled punch (and the bruise you wouldn't get afterwards!)

I quite like it. My closest co-worker is named Bruce, which always throws people off - they expect the 38yo Aussie (me) to be Bruce, not the 27yo Brit. He wears it well and it's grown on me.

I know it's not well-liked on this site, but I actually thinks it's okay. Not one of my favourite names, but I can't see anything particularly wrong with it.

I like it but more for a pet. On a person, it makes me think of a bodyguard or some other musclebound guy, probably because of the influence of Bruce Willis and his action movies.
