[Opinions] Re: Dutch Class List
Siep is my Dad's nn, from the name Sijbe. We've never met another and have no information on the background, meaning, etc. I like it.Boris - a favourite for its strength
Burak - sounds like a cross between a donkey and a duck
Dean - another favourite, this time for its gentleness
Feijte - too close to English word 'fate'
Gys - Too close to the English word 'geese'
Julian - I love it as a feminine name
Luke - Too short
Rein - Okay, but not a favourite
Senne - Not sure how to pronounce this one
Thys - Definitely a favourite Dutch name, along with Kees
Anna - Too simple and common
Chayenne - This seems to emphasize the 'ay' rather than the 'enne'. I prefer Cheyenne
Fiep - I prefer Siep
Fleur - I like it as middle name
Hope - Nope. I don't like virtue/character names
Ieua - eye-ah? ee-yah? ee-wah? eye-ee-oo-ah? Don't like any of them!
Lexie - Needs to stay as a nickname
Lilly - Even if I did like it, what's with the extra L?
Lotte - Needs to stay as a nickname
Noes - Sounds like the English word 'nose'
Soukania - Interesting. I could grow to like it if I saw it often enough
Zira - Looks like a nickname
