Well, as I am German I must tell you, that this is an awful name here! Sorry! If you´re around 50 years old than you´re a Dagmar. No one would do that to child here! If you need a typical German name nowadays:
Maria or Marie
Hanna or Johanna
Sophie
Anna or Anne
Lena
Jana
Sandra
Tanja
Emma
Katrin or Katharina
Lisa
Franziska
Luisa
Sina or Sine
Nele
Mia
Julia
Josefine
Merle
Alexandra
Pia
Rebecca
Stefanie

Ehh, I don't like it, sorry :o( When I was in German class and had to choose a German name, I went with Lilli... it's a nickname for Elisabeth, kind of like Lizzie in English.

Like it.And it's an old royal name in Denmark. As in Queen Dagmar (Lived 1186-1213). Charlie
