Could it be "son of Yaga"? There is Jaga in Polish - old fashioned diminutive of Agnieszka (Agnes), sometimes of Agata. Maybe it's used also in Russia?
And there's a popular character in Slavic folklore Baba Yaga: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baba_Yaga - there you can find a possible etymology of "yaga".
