Perhaps there is also of Spanish origin, as the surname Diesel is also found in South America, mostly in the country of Argentina. I think it might derived from the Spanish name Diaz, from the medieval name Dicadus, or perhaps of the same derivative as the German Diesels.
Now, there is also an Indian origin, and this surname Diesel is also found in the Philipines. Perhaps it is of Filipino origin, or perhaps it is Muslim, originated from India. The origin and meaning, I do not know.This message was edited by the author on July 23, 2012 at 7:21:19 PM
