I came across this in looking for meaning of Guereca. Essentially the same name and I theorize that the "silent" G which isn't really silent if you speak Spanish well was replaced with the H at some point most likely through immigration/emigration. I can't find a meaning for Guerica either, however, I have 2 theories, one of which is that the "Guer" might be from the root word "Guerra" so could have something to do with being a warrior or something. Alternatively, there is a town in the Basque Region called Guernica and again, the G and the H are most likely from the same original name, so. If it relates to a town, you need only add the N and change the E to an I to get the name of a Basque city. Just some random thoughts as I too, was curious about this name.
