I've heard this one on a few TV shows. In one it's used as a first name, which it's isen't apparently, so obviously it's a surname as well as city names (know that by way of Google and Wikipedia) in the US. I guess it's English. Or Irish by the sound of it.

I'm curious as to know more about it if possible.
