In Dutch, Jannie is a diminutive of Jan (John), so Jannie would translate as "Johnny". As a given name, Jannie is common in South Africa (Afrikaaner population) and may well be in the Netherlands too.
As a female name, I've seen Jannie in the US as a diminutive of "Jan". My bro-in-law's sister Jan has always been called Jannie, altho it's a nickname.
