If you're Native than it's great - if you're not Native then it's just as tacky as white people getting Chinese tattoos.

I am not, but my boyfriend is native.

It's nms. I just think it sounds odd to give a child at name that represents a whole group. Maybe instead there's a first name from one of your boyfriend's Native ancestors you could use?
