For all those who use a nn on the net: what are those nns? Why did you choose them? Since the board is not only aboutfirst names, I thought this might be interesting.
I had several ones, and kept changing them because I always felt they didn't reflect my personality. I used to go by Serendipity for a while, but then the movie came out and I had to change.
Narinoc is completely meaningless: I just like letter N, and played with words until I came to this one.

Daddysdancer: Because I'm a dancer. Also, I used an E-mail address for the password that I made for my dad (to collect junk E-mail instead of his regular E-mail address) hence the Daddy part. I kinda wished I hadn't used it, but whatever.

I go by Seda* most everywhere although many people who know me in RL call me Eden (my second middle name :p )
Although for a while I went by Merrys_Lass on msn boards and Seda_Brandybuck for others even though my last name is Kelley. I'm a Merry Brandybuck/Lord of the Rings fan! :)

Siri is from Sigrid, a name I use as my "spirtual" name
I'm also planning on changing it. Then there are my "Athena" names. I used Athena a lot, not sure why. There's Ivy Athena, Athena Rose, Athena Maeve. I've also used Isolde Maeve and Artemisia. Oh...Jerusha and Ishtara, too. Very dramatic names! I mostly just use SiriFalk now, though.

Hmm I use eurythmic a lot cos I love the band Eurythmics. Sometimes bembridgebabe, cos Bembridge is a place I go on holiday (also like it as a mn for a boy!). Otherwise I just use a variation of my name and DOB, eg sophlou86

My screenname on this site, Isla, has a simple reason--it's my favorite girl's name.
Part of my email address, Juanita, is sort of a nn I have in real life. It's my mother's mn and my sister, who was 13 when I was born, was set on naming me Juanita Marie (My name is Heather, btw). I DO NOT look like a Juanita, so it's kind of a funny, ironic nn. My best friend and I sign our emails to each other with nn's--mine is Juanita and hers is Irene (because her parents almost named her Irene Rowena).

chazda was made up for a story I started to write once. It was the screenname of a character. It has nothing to do with me.
I always wondered about Narinoc! I thought it must be an anagram for Corinna.
Others I've used are:
a word consisting of the first two letters of my fn, mn, ln
a phonetic spelling of my initials
speck, Yersinia, nectivorous.

I go by BelCanto a lot on the internet, it's part of my screen name/ e mail addresses and it's because I'm a singer. I also have used Melisandra, Melisande, old names that begin with mine (Melissa) and Dulci- my degree is in Spanish Literature and it harks back to Don Quijote's lady, Dulcinea- another name I love.

I have many nn's on the net. A nn that my family and friends call me is Josh, long story. Some of my friends call me Jeff and a switch sn's between jeff and josh. I used that as a sn for something. I also have mlbprincess37 cuz I love baseball and i just picked a random number. my Phoenix-Fan07 one is because i'm a joaquin phoenix fan and 7 is one of my favorite numbers. A long time ago i my sn for something was kaplerfan19 cuz of gabe kapler who played ro the rockies for a little. I also had rockiesfan14 or something like that cuz I love the rockies. Anyway, I think that's it.
