[Opinions] Edith. WDYT?

It sounds dated to me, but it's not bad.
Well, my name is Edie, and I really like it now (though I didn't when I was a child). However, I have really never cared for Edith. People have always assumed my name was short for Edith, which it isn't. It's just Edie. I was named after my great-grandmother. I can tell you Edie is very uncommon. I disliked it for that reason when I was a child, but now I love it for the same reason.
Edith is actually a very old English name, and I think it would be nice with Edie as a nn.

I don't care for it. I don't think any name is "dated." I just don't think the sound of it. I think of eat it, for some reason.
I love Edith, it's such a beautiful name.
I don't think it's dated at all but then I have quite a few of the so called 'dated' names holding top positions on my favourites list.
I also like the Mediæval forms Æditha and Editha
