Ditto. We used to sing a children's song (thanks to a Childrens Songs from Around the World casette tape--don't get many banyans up here) and it's all I can think of.Otherwise, it makes me think of Yan Yan (weird snack made of, suprisingly enough, cheese) and of banination (a long word for banning someone from a message board from Trogdor's "burnination").Not really good name material, there.Array

Nah, definitely not my style. Just doesn't look like a real name to me.

Banyan is a tree, and not a name to me. It's also too surname-y for my liking.

It's a nice enough tree, and we do use Juniper and Rowan. Banyan is okay, I suppose, but not something I would use. There's also the spelling Banian.Shannon

It looks odd, and it isn't a name. And it makes me think of bananas. Sorry.
