[Opinions] Nora
What do you think of this name? I love it and have two Irish relatives in my family with the name. But sometimes I'm not sure if it's a bit too drab? What kind of image do you have of Nora? Thanks!

Well I just recall that the most picked on kid in my school had the name Nora, so to me it would be torture but the Name without those associations wouldn't be that bad at all.

I absolutely love it :-) It's very sweet and pretty. I don't think it's too drab, though it's not a particularly glamorous name imho.

I LOVE it. It's one of my top favorites. I sometimes think I like 'longer' names with Nora as a nn, like Honora, Annora, Sonora, etc. But I keep coming back to the beautiful, simple Nora. :)

I love Norah (this spelling better)!!!! Is one of my favourite names. I imagine a sweet very intelligent and responsible girl. Eva

I think it's very pretty. I love it too. It's simple but not common or popular.

As someone with brown hair. Nice type of person. I don't think it's too drab--the person makes it interesting. When I was a kid me and my brother and sister used to be watched by a woman named Norina.

Norah looks more complete to me. I like it, but not enough to use it.

I personally find it very drab and old ladyish, as it was my grandmother's name. She was never a very happy person.

Nora is an absolutely beautiful and lovely name! It isn't at all drab, but feminine and timeless.

I love this name, even though I'm not Irish. But I prefer the spelling Norah.

Awww I love this name. I think that its a great name! But I think that I like it better Norah than Nora. I see a little girl with blond or brown hair when I think of this name.

I like Nora, and Noria (Middle Eastern name meaning, errr how to say it... the round stuff that turns to bring water [waterwheel?]. See here: http://www.albakits.com/NORIA_PEQ.gif).

I prefer the spelling Norah but I do like it. It also makes a good nn for Eleanor or Eleanora. ~Kai
