I don't care for Holden. It's too surname-y for my liking, and I see it as a slang word for the word holding.
"I'm holden' on for dear life!"
It's masculine enough, but just not my style. I don't like answering "image" questions, since I feel that no matter what people see or associate with a name, the child will make the name his/her own.
As for middle names, I suggest Holden Lee, Holden George, Holden James, and Holden Charles.

Thanks for your honest opinion as that is what I needed to hear...seriously...I don't want to jeopardize my child's future by giving them a dumb name...
