I understand that "Vladimir " originally came from the Arabic "Aulad-e-Emir", meaning "son of the Emir", or Prince. The "prince Vladimir " of so many romantic novels, is therefore a redundancy!

I don't really like the name Vladimir, but if you shorten it to
