1. Do you think the name William will inevitabley be shortened?
Not necessarily. In my family it would be, but in some others it wouldn't.
2. Do you like the nick names Will or Liam?
I like both of them.
3. Do you think William is too formal?
I think it's formal enough to need a casual nickname.
4. Apart from Will or Liam, can you think of any other nicknames.
Hmm. I guess Bill or Billy is a bit out-of-fashion these days, although I like Billy. I suppose you could use Lee, but it's a bit of a stretch.
5. Do you think William Christopher is a nice combo?
Yes, it's great :-)

A couple of other nicknames you could use are Willis (English), Gwil (Welsh) or Pim (Dutch). If you click on the William hyperlink and then choose 'Related Names' you'll be able to see every possible variation and nickname for William.
