Fintan, spelled this way is an old Irish boy's name. St. Fintan was one of those early Irish saints. How about Fintan, instead of Finton?
(St.) Finbarr is my favorite, but I don't expect many people to like it; it's an acquired taste. Then there's always plain Finn, as in Finn McCool, from Irish mythology.
