It is pronounced a different way (at least in Germany). Kristin is like "Kristeen" and the ending of Kristen is similar to "pen" what Claire said before.
I don´t like Kristen too much. Seems like a wrong spelled Kirsten.
But I LOVE Kristin as it is my MN.
Alexandra Kristin =)

Love your middle name! The "i" makes it special!

I *think* them differently, but the sound comes out the same when I say it!:-)

They're exactly the same for me, but with my accent, everything comes out rather flat sounding. :) I prefer Kristen, which just looks a lot kinder to me than Kristin (probably because I know a hideous one). I like the name Kiersten best of all, though.(I'm ambivalent on Kristina, which has the character from A Doll's House on one side, but a nutjob woman on the other. I'm not a big fan of this family of names in general, really.)Array

Yes, but the difference is fairly subtle. There's so little significant difference in the two pronunciations, in fact, that I generally go by looks rather than sound when judging these two forms. And I prefer the look of Kristin: it looks more balanced to me than Kristen.

I do. To me the first ends in "in" (like thin), and the second in "en" (pen).

I say them the same way. I don't care for the name (I prefer Kristine or Kristina), and I don't have a spelling preference.
