I prefer Charlotte. But Carlotta could work if you were naming the child for someone named Carl.

I don't think Carlotta is any harsher than Caroline, but people tend to dislike unusual name. But a Carlotta could always go by Carly in school, if she wanted to be more like everyone else.

Sorry, I can't stand it. I adore Charlotte, though!

It's cute, I like it. Gianna is nms. Carlotta Gianna does sort of flow though.

Hate it. It sounds stiff and pronounciation is confusing. I suggest Charlotte, Carly, Carol, Carmen, or Carmine instead. Gianna is okay, but I dont like the combination. Too many unusual names together isn't a good thing.

I don't care for it. I don't care for any Carl- names for girls, as the male Carl is just too strongly within in. Plus, I think of those coffee coolatta's (or however you spell it) from Dunkin Donuts. I like Gianna.

I've always liked it. It has a musical quality to me. I first thought about it when I saw "Veritgo," Kim Novak's character. I like names that everyone has heard of, but have fallen off the radar screen. This is one that deserves a second look.

I love it, but I like Charlotta (shar-LAW-tuh) even more :-)
