I like Karana. It looks like it could be a variant of Katherine (like Karina, Kara, Karen, etc.), so, though it's still unusual, it's got a usual enough sound to work as either a fn or a mn.
As a mn, I think it'd flow best with either a one-syllable fn or a three-syllable with stress on the first syllable:
Eloise Karana
Jane Karana
etc.
As a fn, I think it would flow best with either a one-syllable mn or a two-syllable with stress on the second syllable.
Karana Marie
Karana Joyce
etc.
