I love the meaning of this name and since I am half Japanese half anglo mutt I like the Idea of using the Japanese name but not set on it.

Amaya means Nigt Rain

Okay my question is ...
1. Is it to much like..."Am I a ____" Like Ima and Ura Hogg
2. Does anyone know any names that have this meaning?

I love Amaya. I've never thought of "Am I a ...?" before, so it'd only be relevant if your surname doubles up as a vocab word.

Its also an Indian name, so I say it UM-ay-yah

Amaya is a beautiful name
1 no its nothing like
2 cant think of any names that have the exact same meaning
Nyx Means "night" in Greek.
Lilith "of the night".
Layla - Means "night" in Arabic
Euria - Means "rain" in Basque
Yagmur -Means "rain" in Turkish.
