[Opinions] Posy
WDYT of the name Posy?
Do you prefer "Posy" or "Posie"?
BtN has it down as a NN for Josephine. Do you think the name could also work on it's own (being a flower)?

I really like the name Posy. I think Posy can definitely work on it's own. I see it as a full name anyway, not as a nn for Josephine.

I don't really have a preference between Posie and Posy. I think it could work as a full name, yes. It's very cutesy, but then so is Lily and people make that work as a formal name. (Can you tell I dislike Lily lol.) If it's a full name, I prefer the Posy spelling. PS I know a Rosemarie whose nn is Posy, but I don't know how she spells it. I think it might be Posie actually :-)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

I think it's absolutely adorable. I don't know if I'd ever have the guts to use it though. Personally I like it as a nickname for Josephine, so if the child gets sick of having such a cute name they can pick something a bit more serious. I prefer the spelling Posy.

I don't care for it. It is too nickname-y sounding, but I don't see it coming from Josephine. I don't think it can be a formal name, as I find it much too immature sounding.

I like it a bit. It would go well with other similar flower names, Poppy, Peony etc.
