[Opinions] Aeris ...
I was just looking at the Special Poll on here and noticed that the humber one name for females on there is Aeris. A name that isn't even in the database. As far as I can tell, it is Latin for Air or Atmosphere. So a few questions:
Do you like the name Aeris?
How do you pronounce it?
Do you know anything else about the name?

It sounds like the word "heiress" to me, and therefore seems like a misspelled, and BAD, word name. ~Heather~

Do you like the name Aeris? No
How do you pronounce it? AIR-iss
Do you know anything else about the name? Not really, except that I've seen it used several times on fictionpress. Also, I once made it up for a male character in my story, stemming from Aaron.

It's the English version of a Japanese Video Game character named Aerith.I have been watching my boyfriends brother play video games today, and he was playing Final Fantasy Seven. Aparently the character Aeris get's killed off even though she can be the main character Cloud's love interest, and now very soon another Final Fantasy movie is coming out, and Aeris will be in it. Aparently many like my boyfriend felt their heart get crushed as one of the coolest characters, Aeris died. Aparently her death is what made that game one of the best Final Fantasy's acording to my boyfriend. I don't play many video games so he tells me about them, it's kind of more fun than playing them, I like watching people play them more than playing. I guess I'm weird. ^_^---------------------------------------------------------------------

My boy friend pronounces it Aries, like the greek war god or the Zodiac sign.I guess the fan girls and boys are uniting since the movie is just about to come out. Kind of strange, you said you found this poll on this site?---------------------------------------------------------------------

I love Adele, Sabriel, Serafina, and Keira...just wondering, where did you get some of those names? (talking about Sabriel/Serafina).

Both from books. But they are real names.Sabriel from Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen by Garth Nix and Serafina a good witch from The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. Sabriel is really usually spelt Sabrael and is an angel name, but in the book it's Sabriel and I like it spelt Sabriel more.---------------------------------------------------------------------

That's what I thought... I have read all of the books Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen and His Dark Materials- so I assumed that's where it came from.
