[Opinions] Shanna / Shana
What do you think of this name? It's really growing on me. It's not a name that would normally be my style but I like it.Which spelling do you prefer? I think I slightly prefer Shanna but I don't mind Shana either.Opinions? Thanks in advance,Jamie

I think I pronounce Shanna and Shana differently. So to me I would prefer Shanna if pronounce it SHAN-na (short a) and Shana if pronounce SHAHN-a (longer a).Neither are my style and don't really appeal to me.

I don't care for the name, but it's not bad. I prefer the Shanna spelling.

I dislike it, either spelling. It's also confusing for most people to pronounce, for some reason. I work with a girl named Shana, pronounced like SHAN-nah. At first, I thought her name was Shannon, until I saw how it was spelled. But everyone at work seems to call her either SHAWN-ah or SHAY-nah, and that's not how her name is pronounced! The name just seems made up and dated to me, anyway. I've never cared for it. (Though I definitely prefer the SHAN-nah pronunciation over SHAY-nah and definitely over SHAWN-ah).

I've a cousin named Shana. I do like it, but spelling it Shanna will change the pronunciation from SHANE-uh, to SHAN-uh.

How are you pronouncing it? Shan-na or Shay-na? Because I know tons of Shanna who pro. it shay-na. My names is Shayna and I hate it. So much. I also hate Shan-na. If I had to choose, I'd go with Shanna though. If I had to.-------------------------------------------------

Shanna is like Shan-na. Pronunicating both n's. Does that make sense? I can't think of how to explain it.Shana is more like Shay-na to me.I like both though.

I only like Shana when it's pronounced SHAY-na.

I don't care for it, as it sounds incomplete to me. I prefer the spelling Shanna, as it looks more complete with two ns.
