[Opinions] Middle names for Jean (once again :-D)
As many of you know, I'm intending to name my first daughter - when I eventually *have* one - after my grandmother, Jean, but I'm finding it hard to find a middle name for it. I recently settled on Estella, but now I've "met someone" whose last name starts with W, and I don't think the initials JEW are the best idea :-D. So I'm looking for middle names that are pretty, classic, and have a nice, non-religious meaning, that don't start with A or E (JAW or JEW lol), and don't have a strong 'n' sound in them. WDYT of these ideas below, and can you suggest any others (remember the meaning has to be nice and non-religious). Thanks in advance!Jean Mairead (prn ma-RAYD)
Jean Margot (prn MAR-go)
Jean Matilda
Jean Maura (MOR-a)
Jean Melissa
Jean Meredith
Jean Mildred
Jean Millicent
Jean Miranda
Jean Morag
Jean Sabia
Jean Sara (SAH-ra)
Jean Sarah (SAIR-a)
Jean Sigrid
Jean Silvia / Jean Sylvia
Jean Sophia
Jean Stella
Jean Susannah

Whoa Jean Matilda I love!Jean Stella a good replacement for Jean Estella in close sound and same meaning. Do I have to say well dah Estella from Estelle from Latin stella... Well I just did!Jean Miranda is nice.I like Jean Angharad. OK I prefer Jean Anchoret (AN-hor-et, my pronounciation keys suck...) but I know you like Angharad better. And the meaning is nice.

I do not let letter initials bother me, and I don't see a problem with JEW, as it doesn't mean your daughter is Jewish. :::shrugs:::Anyway, from your middle names, I like: Margo (this spelling only), Melissa, Meredith, Millicent, Miranda, Sarah, Sylvia, Sophia, Stella and Susannah.I like Jean Margo(t).

I see initials that spell some words as a bit like the naming equivalent of a "kick me" sign - ie you can teach kids to deal with bullying, but that's still no reason to make it easy for the bullies. And I narrowly avoided having the initials JAW so I've always been a bit sensitive towards initials!

I like:Jean Miranda
Jean Silvia / Jean Sylvia
Jean Sophia
Jean Stella - Normally I prefer Stella over Estella, but strangely Jean Estella does sound better to me.I would also suggest Jean Ellen after yourself, Jean Joy after your mother (although I normally dislike double-initials). I still like the sound of Jean Lorien as well : )
