[Facts] Origin and meaning of Cashel?

I saw this on a baby names sight, for a boy. I believe this name must be very uncommon. But I do know that there is a novel by
George
B.
Shaw
"Cashel
Byron
's Profession". So obviously Cashel is not a newly made-up name. Is it English or Irish?
