[Opinions] Cole
Help me get it out of my head! I've always liked the sound but thought it too NNy for a full name, but as I acquire more and more songs by Mr. Porter, the name is engraining itself in my mind. Not that I would use it, but um, combos anyone? TIA. ;)

I don't know why, but for some reason when I hear the name Cole, I think of that little piece of turd that sticks to your rectum that you can shake off after you've finished going number 2.

No, don't get it our of your head! I like Cole a lot. I think it's a great nn for Nicolas (no, not Nicholas), but it could definitely stand on its own as well.Cole Geoffrey / Jeffrey

Cole HarrisonI just realized something though. With my accent at least, when you say the first and mn together, it sounds a little like "Call (mn)" or whatever. Cole Anthony with a thick NJ accent sounds just like "Cawl Antony". I don't know if that concerns you, though, but I found it quite amusing. :D

I adore Cole. You could always use it as a NN for Colton or Nicolas. I'm sure you find Colton too trendy, though.Cole Alexander

Cole?I'll admit, Cole doesn't seem like your usual name style, but don't try & get it out of your head. Let it grow on you and enjoy it to the maximum. I'm having the same experience with the name Chet. It's not my style really, but because of reasons I have explained at length previously I really love the name. I also like the sound of the name Cole. I would never use it personally, but I would like to hear it on someone else's child.

Totally one of my favorites, but its much easier to use as a middle name!

BIL's DS is named Cole. I really liked it the first time I heard it, and while I may think it somewhat surnamey, I don't really find it nney. :o)What about Cole Timothy? Cole Andrew? Cole Vincent? Cole Hugo? Meh; I'm not coming up with any that really grab me. ;o) It's a good, solid name, though. It's just easier for me to put it in the mn slot.Edited to correct misspelling

I really like Cole but I know what you mean - it has a trendy / inadequate feel about it. I think it needs a seriously substantial mn, and nothing trendy. How about ...Cole Leopold
Cole Phineas
Cole Oliver
Cole Antony
Cole Ambrose
Cole Dominic
Cole Conrad
