No, I haven't heard of an Alanis besides Alanis Morissette, and I think that's the only thing that puts me off it. Sound-wise it's adorable. A bit like 'Atlantis' :-)

I prefer Alannis, just to avoid the Alanis Morisette similarity, but I think both spellings are nice. I like Alana too, but I think I prefer Alanis to it as well.
