I'm not crazy about months or days as names, but this would be one of the better ones. The only one I really like is June for a mn.

I don't like December as a name. I don't like Seasons, days, or months as names [honestly]. They are okay but NMS.

I personally wouldn't use it as a name. What would be his/her nickname Deci or Decy? The only month name I like is April.

It doesn't sound particularly attractive to me, but at least it's spelled correctly. What do you think of Decima ("DESS-i-ma")?

I don't really care for "month" or "day of the week" names for people. But that's just me!

I think that names like December (and other months) only should be used if it has any meaning to the child/parents. I think December is ok and I like June. I really love November though and I could use it for a child born in November (like me!). I also think it's beautiful because it reminds me of the song November Rain by Guns 'N Roses.

I think it's a cute name. I'd probably be more apt to use it in the mn slot. But I'd be happy to meet a December. Deci makes a good nn.Luxiana

The names of all the months have been used as given names. If we accept April as a given name, we can hardly object to December. :)Dr. December Green is the head of the International Stuides Program at Wright State University in Ohio:http://www.wright.edu/cola/Dept/pls/green/green.htm

This is another name that I think the parent-to-be should wearI'm not sure of it, honestly. I've met a few Januarys, and they've really liked their name. I know November has been used as well, but I'm just not sure about December.

I think it's lovely for a little girl, especially with the nn Deci or Ember. I think it works especially if there is some family significance connected to the month of December.
