[Opinions] Middle name for Alec?
Whats a good middle name for Alec? My other son's middle name is O'Connell (a family name) and Id like to maintain the Irish feel but not required. I've thought of Orion (which isnt really irish but has the same feel as Oconnell and means sun of fire) or Jameson (my FIL name is James) but Im not really sold/happy. Last name is Hogan. Thanks!

If we were having a boy, we had decided on Alec James. But I also liked Alec Russell (hubby didn't like that one). Hope it helps!

I really love your ideas of Orion and Jameson, especially Jameson :)
They might clash a little bit with Hogan, but it's not too bad and if it's a mn you won't have to deal with that too often.
You could always use James. It sounds very nice and it won't be confusing if he goes by Alec.

My cousin's name is Alec Richard but that's not Irish. I like Alec Orion. And although Jameson is one of my favorite names, Alec James would flow better with Hogan.Names that came to my mind were:Alec Richard
Alec Brogan (but it's too similar to Hogan... Alec Brogan Hogan - heh)
Alec Cian
Alec Finn
Alec Connor (but may be too similar to O'Connell)
Alec Ronan
Alec Ryan
Alec Lucas

My first impulse was Alec Bartholomew. Not really so Irish, I suppose.Any kind of Mc- name would sound cool in between Alec and Hogan and match your other son's middle name, if you can find one that means something to you. ex. Alec Mckenzie Hogan, Alec McGinnis Hogan.other ideas:Alec Thomond (Thomond is an old Irish Kingdom)
Alec Dougal
Alec Seamus (Irish form of James)
Alec Finlay
