I dont like Maverick. I really like Mave though. Out of those combos I like Sydney Maverick the best. I think its a good combo and I really like Sydney.

The only one I know is a little boy. I'm not crazy about the name, but it has a certain appeal. This boy's sibset is (age-order):
Jordan (f)
Coral (f)
Gavin (m)
Ryann (f, sp. uncertain) and Maverick (m): twins

I like Maverick Lara, actually.

I don't like it for either gender, but I think it sounds way too masculine for a girl. Besides the cattle reference, it always reminds me of the tv show Maverick with James Garner, which makes it seem even more masculine to me. I just can't see it on a girl at all.

It ends in Rick. That could never sound feminine.

Don't do this to your daughter. A maverick is a lost cow. Do you really want to name your daughter after a bovine?

Just a question -- is the reason you think Maverick sounds "feminine" because you are pronouncing the first syllable to rhyme with "save" or Maeve? Maverick is normally pronounced with the first syllable rhyming with "have" or the first syllable of Gavin.

Actually I could see it working on a girl! I woul'd never use it ever though for either gender.

I think it's tacky for a boy, personally, but it's horrid on a girl. :-/ If you like Mave, what about Maeve (MAYV)? Maeve Charlotte or Charlotte Maeve would be gorgeous.

I like it, but I would be worried about the girl who bears this name in a world full of Ashleys, Sarahs, Britneys, and Katies. Oh, how I wish Maverick would be more accepted!

No... sorry. To me, it's absolutely unfeminine. "Maverick Charlotte" kind of makes me want to laugh. Besides, the word refers to cattle -- which on a boy is cowboyish, but on a woman I can't help thinking: cow.

Sorry but I think its still much too masculine sounding. I don't care for it on a girl at all. As far as your combos, I think Sydney Maverick sounds the nicest, but Sidney Maverick would be better on a boy.
