Help[Opinions] some names from my French textbook....
Florent (m) - eh, ok.
Mamadou (m) - haha, this one just cracks me up!
Tran (m) - I like this one!
Laurent (m) - I like this too.
Magali (f) - My favorite one.
Mattieu (m) - Kinda boring, but ok. I like it better than Matthew.
WDYTO these names?

these are very old-fashioned names
some are good, but they're not really used at ALL anymore

Florent is interesting, but I think I prefer Laurent.
Mamadou is fun. Perhaps it's an Algierian / African / Islamic name. It reminds me of Marmaduke (sp?) and Mamluk / Mamaluke Egyptians.
Tran is definitely Vietnamese.
Magali is gorgeous. I'm stealing it and adding it to my long list. Thanks! Is it a form of Marguerite?
Mattieu sounds like I'm trying to say Matthew while sneezing. I know that's an ignorant thing to say, but I can't shake the feeling.
