[Opinions] Elle
WDYT think? Could it stand on its own or does it need something like Elaine or Elisabeth to back it up as a full name? Do you think its better as a first or middle name? What first/middle name would it sound good with?

I like Elle but it's definitely a nn to me. You don't have to go with something "heavy" like Eleanor, etc., if that's not your style. There are other options such as Marielle, Gabrielle or any name beginning with El.

I like it. Elle can definitely stand on it's own, it doesn't need a longer name. I think it can work as either a fn or a mn. I like:Elle Rebekah
Elle Sophia
Elle Madeleine
Elle Katherine
Elle NatashaAudrey Elle
Imogen Elle
Phoebe Elle

I think Elle is beautiful on its own, but "Elle" and "Ella" are very popular now so I wouldn't use it.

I know someone who has a daugther simply named Elle, and it is very cute on her.

Beautiful nickname, but I think it needs something to back it up. If you were to use it by itself, I'd say middle name (somehow I can accept nicknames better as middle names: Rae, Jill, Gwyn, etc.).
I think it would be a great nickname for Elaine, Elisabeth, or Eleanor / Elinor, but you could also use it for Elena, Elspeth (though I prefer that as a nickname itself for Elisabeth), Eliana, Eleanora, Elina, Eliora, Elise / Elisa, Ellen, Elissa, Elodia / Elodie, Eloise, Elisha, Elsa / Else, Elysia, or a host of other names.
Hmmm... combo ideas:
Victoria Elle or even Elle Victoria
Hannah Elle
Susannah Elle
Violet Elle
Arianna Elle
Katherine Elle
Constance Elle
Felicity Elle
Judith Elle
Sofia Elle
Rebecca Elle
Miriam Elle
Oriana Elle
