Erik Harald is 8 years old. He is from Oslo, Norway. Erik has brown hair and blue eyes. He is a very happy child. He loves to run and play outside. Erik loves winter games. He likes to snowboard and ski. He is very good at skiing for a 8 year old. Erik is not the best in school. He has some troubles reading and gets into some trouble, but most of his teacher like him. He is always willing to help. Erik's parents couldn't afford to keep him. He has been with us since he was 14 months.

-Irena Julita [16] and Borys Leszek [12] are siblings from Poland. They were brought to our agency after their father was sent to prison [for sexually abusing Irena and physically abusing Borys], and their mother died when they were young leaving no other family. As a result of the assault, Irena has become pregnant. She is not sure what to do and needs guidance. She is extremely protective of Borys and often gets into trouble. Since the assaults Irena has been very withdrawn. She is now a selective mute and suffers from severe depression. She likes to draw, read, write, and often goes on long walks by herself. Borys has also become withdrawn, but is willing to talk to a psychiatrist about what happened. He blames himself for what happened to Irena and needs reassurance that there was nothing he could do. He likes to skateboard, draw, and play ice hockey.
